The uniform must be “worn well” and with pride – including to and from school. A student who has writing on the outside of a garment may be asked not to wear the garment until the writing is removed. Small jewellery items may be worn discreetly, but would have to be removed if it is excessive and not appropriate for school wear, or if it could be a source of danger or offence.
Students who cannot wear the correct uniform to school must report to the Deans' Centre with a note before 8.35a.m. A uniform pass will not be given day after day to students who do not attempt to regularly wear full uniform. Before a pass is issued, students may be provided with the correct uniform item to wear for that day. A current pass must be carried by any student wearing a non-uniform item. A student may be required to hand in a non-uniform item worn without a pass. This may be held until the end of term or until collected by a parent/guardian.
The school reserves the right to dispose of any such garment not collected by the end of that term. The formal uniform of school blazer, school tie, white dress shirt and black trousers and belt or skirt is worn by a student on representative occasions. The blazer and tie can be borrowed from school when required. NB: “Regulation” items are only available from uniform stockists
